The small port city of Quepos, Costa Rica, is known as the sportfishing capital of the Western Hemisphere. With a population of only 14,000 people, Quepos rank among the world’s top destinations for this type of offshore deep water fishing. Catches include Sailfish, Marlin, Dorado, Tuna, Snapper and Jack. The port is home to many boats and crews that are experts at taking visitors on unforgettable sportfishing excursions.

Quepos is just one mile north of Villa Amarilla, along the short road between Quepos and Costa Rica’s famous Manuel Antonio National Park. The town is named after the native Quepoe people who inhabited the area during colonial times. An excellent bus service runs between the port of Quepos, Villa Amarilla, and the beaches and rainforest of Manuel Antonio.
